LIVE + BREATHE is a non-profit arts-led organisation focussed on demanding a universal and equitable right to Clean Air. Proudly originating from South London, we are a Black-led climate and social justice organisation highlight and exposing the unequal impacts of air pollution on communities of colour and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. LIVE + BREATHE is a collective and coalition of community groups and individuals from the arts, sports and culture sectors.
We collaborate together, as LIVE + BREATHE, using our unique arts-led and community-first approach, as introduced by LIVE + BREATHE’s founder, musician and artist Love Ssega. Through our work, we prioritize racial and social justice in the climate movement, ensuring that the people who are most effected by an issue are platformed and inspired to be heard. Together, we assemble and create to celebrate the things we live and breathe for. We create a dialogue of positive action that addresses the inequalities we face to generate solutions that are accessible and beneficial to all.
